can be called the diet of the ancients. This diet is based upon the
fact what people ate in the past, fruits, vegetables and meats. The
main idea is that you must limit and control the ratio of your food types.
The main goal of this great diet is not to take away carbs but
only to limit its consumption. Dieters are also encouraged to reduce
the consumption of pastas and potatoes. The magical formula that you
need to know about the zone diet is 40 – 30 – 30, which
means 40 percent of carbs, 30 percent fat and 30 percent protein.
If we think about the fact that we ate like this in the past
and our metabolism is still working with this ration, we can understand
why it is a healthy weight loss program and a good diet.
With limiting the food types to a good ratio, the amount of insulin
taken into the body is also limited.
Too much insulin in the body will lead to more body fat being
stored, thus becoming overweight. Your carbs should come from fresh
vegetables and fruits and your intake of fat should be mainly from
olive oil and other monounsaturated fats. The zone diet is a food
weight loss program which is healthy and has no risks.
The only slight problem that can be encountered is nutrients
loss when the program is not followed correctly. The zone diet is
thought to be a very healthy and working program by many scientist and
people who tried it as well. I myself tried it, and it had great
results. After a month of following the weight loss program, I’ve
lost about 15 lbs and it hastened up along the way. I’ve felt
lighter, had more energy and a better mood all day long.
